Derma rolling (Micro Needle Therapy) is a skincare treatment that is advertised to leave you with a flawless skin in as little as ten sessions. Some of the benefits of using Micro Needle Therapy are Scar removal including acne scars, Stretch Mark removal, Wrinkle removal/reduction, Cellulite reduction, Large Pore reduction, Hair Loss restoration, Hyper-Pigmentation treatment. My skin is not badly scarred, but I have some discolorations and large pores on my cheeks, and that is why I was really intrigued to try a Derma Roller. Beautonics Derma Roller is made with High Grade Titanium needles in a 1.0mm length, on a roller with a 192 needle count for precision and accuracy. It is important to know that the Derma Roller should never be shared with any other person, and must be disinfected before and after each use as well as the face or the area you are applying the derma roller on.
Beautonics Derma Roller is housed in a sturdy sterile tube container and inside also has a plastic cap that covers the head with the needles. Since this was my first time trying a Derma Roller and there is no instructions of how often it should be used, I was not sure and started with only once per week. Keep in mind that Derma Roller should not be used on active acne, as can cause the breakouts to spread. Since I had an acne reaction using a gel face cleanser, I was waiting for it to heal, to start using Derma rolling. Once this happened, I followed the directions on the box and after disinfecting, I rolled back and forth about 10 times on my cheeks vertically, then horizontally, and finally diagonally. I did not apply to much pressure, because I was scared of face bleeding. The directions indicate that even if you see dots of blood, don’t freak out, as that is completely normal. The feeling of rolling needles on my face, wasn`t the most pleasant experience, but if it really helps with getting a “flawless skin” I will not mind doing it once every 7 to 10 days. I only had a chance to do it 3 times, in which I have not noticed any difference, maybe is too early yet, but as any other skin treatment, we can`t expect a miracles in such a short time. I will continue using it and will definitely report back and share my results.
